Sedric Gant – Career Professional with Diverse Interests
Since retiring from the United States Marine Corps in 1994, Sedric Gant has worked across multiple industries. As a sergeant in the service, Sedric Gant had a two-year sea duty tour and worked on the Freedom Task Force in Africa and the Middle East for a total of 12 years.
After his time in the service, the Department of Justice hired him to work in one of its correctional institutions. As an operations lieutenant, he oversaw the prison until 2014. During this time, he also earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He left the correctional institution to work for the University of Phoenix as a military enrollment specialist in 2014.
By 2018, Mr. Gant’s career changed, placing him in the communications industry. CenturyLink hired him as a customer services and sales representative to assist its customers with their inquiries. Soon after, in 2020, Consumer Cellular hired him as a team lead. Today, he is a team supervisor involved with activities that support other teams and supervisors. He also generates reports and trains agents.
Mr. Gant’s professional interests span other fields, including theology, training, fitness, and traveling. In his free time, he hikes, reads, listens to live music, draws, and plays chess.
